This blog is where I’ll share my experiences with posts about cocktail culture and the practice of making mixed drinks as a hobby — along with any other topics that might naturally revolve around them. Some of them will be about life in my adopted hometown of Atlanta: the people I meet, the places I visit, and the conversations that unfold along the way. Others will chronicle the evolution of the home bar my wife and I have enjoyed creating together.
I’m not writing as an expert, but as a curious participant. A hobbyist. An enthusiast. A witness.
Here you’ll find experiments, mistakes, small victories, and the occasional discovery that feels worth passing along. Naturally, there will be recipes and reviews of spirits I’ve tried, but also an exploration of the Craft Cocktail Movement heyday I missed out on, and the reflections that only seem to appear when you’re sitting at the bar with a close friend after the crowd has gone.
If that sounds like your kind of company, pull up a stool. I’m glad you’re here.
Cheers,
Life After Happy Hour
